This sculpture stands in front of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, Missouri, which is also bathed in blue light for special occasions. This is one of the four giant shuttlecock sculptures outside of the Nelson-Atkins Museum. The shuttlecocks, installed in 1994, are among the most popular works at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. They were created by Claes Oldenburg and Coojse van Bruggen.
