A vintage patriotic postcard from 1908 commemorating George Washington's arrival at Trenton, NJ in 1789 on his way to New York City for his inauguration. Washington on his white horse preceded by two drummers, have passed under the triumphal arch and are surrounded by women and children. The right side of the old postcard has portraits of George and Martha. Beneath are four early flags: the Pine Tree Flag Apr 1776, National Flag June 14, 1777, Rattlesnake Flag Feb 8, 1776, and Liberty Flag. A bald eagle is perched on the stars and stripes.
