General Sherman Postcard

General Sherman is a Giant Sequoia tree in the Sequoia National Park. This is a relatively "young" sequoia, it is 2200 years old. The General Sherman is the largest tree and probably largest living organism in the world. (You can see some Homo Sapiens around the foot of the tree.) In the 1880s an utopian socialist community named it after Karl Marx. If you grow sequoias, you need to take care of them a few decades. Afterwards, in the next millenia there is not much to do. (Attention, you should have a big garden!)
