The Galápagos Islands (official name: Archipiélago de Colón, other Spanish name: Islas Galápagos), part of the Republic of Ecuador, are an archipelago of volcanic islands distributed on either side of the Equator in the Pacific Ocean surrounding the centre of the Western Hemisphere, 906 km (563 mi) west of continental Ecuador. The islands are known for their vast number of endemic species and were studied by Charles Darwin during the second voyage of HMS Beagle, as his observations and collections contributed to the inception of Darwin's theory of evolution by means of natural selection.

Firstly, I gave my mom a rescued bengal cat this past spring and I have been taking photos for her of her cat Maya. Instead of simply developing the photos and sending these to her by mail as we do not live close to one another, I let my imagination soar with Zazzle, added the best photos for the calender and added fun quotes to embelish each photo. Yes, it took time and a bit of effort, but if you had heard her intense delight to the calendar, gushing about the wuality of the print, the paper and how well made the calendar is, even her saying "not even one hundred dollars would not have made me happier than I am now. This is the perfect way to start my day and now I can show my cat to everyone when I leave the house!". I know she will bring it with her over the holidays to brag.
So if you are seeking an original gift, made with a bit of effort on your part if you plan ahead, I cannot think of a better way to do this. Make a calendar and let your imagination soar and surprise gift aomeone you care about! Beautifully printed, photos came out quite professional and the black and white print in my calendar is 100% quality.
