This product highlights a single panorama of Glacier Bay, Alaska and a portion of Hugh Miller glacier. The photos were taken during the Harriman expedition to Alaska by well-known USGS geomorphologist and geologist, Grove Karl Gilbert. The photos have been assembled into the panorama shown on the mug by GEOLOGY WORKS. The original images can be accessed at the USGS Photographic Library website.

I was originally happy about my purchase and Nana loved the gift. HOWEVER, the description specifically says that these are microwave and dishwasher safe, BUT the first time Nana put this mug in the dishwasher it was destroyed. Not impressed..
