On the EXTREMELY rare occasions when our kids would misbehave, we found the time out chair of be a (somewhat) effective method to attempt to modify their behaviour. I think a well-placed mirror might have helped them reflect upon the error of their ways, but I mostly think they were either sleeping, or trying to think of ways to avoid getting caught.
