Found this in the collection of that artist whose estate - FULL of prints, art, more prints, old ads, old children’s books, Victorian tradecards, etc. etc. etc. - are now in my possession. This began life on a label for Peacock Fire Crackers. This image looks like it was done by someone who’d never seen an actual peacock, but it still looks way colourful and neato on all kinds of EVERYTHING, including tote bags. Note that the bird appears on both sides of the bag, in mirror image. Wanna see more old? Beautiful quality tote bag in a heavy coated canvas. Shoulder strap is perfect length. Graphics are absolutely beautiful. The printing was great. The pink and black were perfect but the green didn't print as rich in color.
