BELLE EPOQUE This image comes from the January 31, 1897 edition of Le Petit Echo de La Mode, a French Fashion magazine popular during La Belle Epoque. The clothing the women are wearing is described as follows: Left: Collet Linder en drap suede, ferme devant par deux petites pattes piquees boutonnees par les boutons. Capuchon de drap formant revers. Double de taffetas changeant. Col orne de piqures. Chapeau de feutre orne de velours deux choux de cote retenant un pouf de plumes. Right: Robe en cahcemire et crepe anglais. Jupe garni de crepe. Corsage plisse en travers avec empiecement de crepe formant plastron au mileur du devant. Haute ceinture de crepe, cole droit et rabattu en crepe. Chapeau de crepe.
