Vintage children's book illustration by Swedish artist John Bauer, for the fairy tale storybook "Our Fathers' Godsaga", by Viktor Rydberg depicting two characters from an Old Norse tale Svipdagsmál. Freyja is a norse goddess depicted in the epic Poetic Edda. Svipdag is the champion of that same tale. Scandinavian folk tale fairtytale art. Beautiful illustration! Bauer is the master a capturing Norse tales. Looks great framed in my house! Picture is a little blurry. I think if i got smaller dimensions it would have been better.
