French Revolutionary Calendar for 2018
The French Revolutionary Calendar or Republican Calendar was introduced at the beginning of the French Republic. Usage of the calendar meant that many events of the French Revolution are known by their revolutionary dates (18 Brumaire and 9 Thermidor). Under the last version of the calendar, the new year begins in September, so year 226 has begun before 2018.
This is a conventional, Gregorian calendar but uses artwork from historical, revolutionary calendars. Depictions for the 12 months of the revolutionary calendar (Vendémiaire, Germinal, Brumaire, Floréal, Frimaire, Prairial, Nivôse, Messidor, Pluviôse, Thermidor, Ventôse, and Fructidor) are matched with the closest conventional month. Great for the francophile, history buff, or French Revolution enthusiast. A gift for the New Year or Bastille Day.
Art by Philibert-Louis Debucourt, Salvatore Tresca, and Louis Lafitte. The back depicts another revolutionary institution, the Festival of the Supreme Being.

I order a custom calendar every year for Christmas. I try to keep changing the design I chose to keep it interesting. This calendar turned out beautiful. But It turns out I’m not a fan of the layout. I prefer each month to have its own whole page. Too hard to turn for a quick glance at the next month this way. My own preference though. A+. Excellent printing. Colours turned out great.
