This lovely border tile is a detail of a reproduction of Hippocampes et algues, bordure, Les quatre éléments, carreaux céramiques, et lézards, bordure. Iris et libellules, papillons, jeux de fond from L'animal dans la décoration (1897) illustrated by Maurice Pillard Verneuil. Original from the The New York Public Library. Digitally enhanced by rawpixel. Will not repeat perfectly, but is ideal for provincial decor as a trivet or coaster.
