I had wanted to portray horses in a waterfall for years but most waterfalls did not usually contain the natural shapes of horses. Then I found this icy cascade. This waterfall is from a place in Iceland called Thingvellir where Iceland's democracy was founded. Interestingly, the shapes of horses appearing in the waterfall looked like Icelandic horses with their long, shaggy manes and coats, which might have been the horses ridden to that historic place. -Kim McElroy, www.spiritofhorse.com
