Free Tibet Flag -Tibetan Flag iPhone 4 Cases
The Free Tibet Flag, also known as the Tibetan Flag and the Snow Lion Flag, was a flag of the military of Tibet, introduced by the 13th Dalai Lama in 1912. The image features a snow ed mountain symbolizing Tibet, with snow lions on either side, symbolizing the sacred and secular realms. In the centre are the Three Supreme Jewels (Buddha, Dharma and Sangha). The sun shines brightly in the sky and the rays go out in all directions. The red rays represent the six original tribes of Tibet and their descendants. The blue bands symbolize Tibet's commitment to spiritual and secular rule. China invaded Tibet in 1950. They burned monasteries and temples, destroyed monuments, sacred writings and artwork, killed women and children, and either killed or imprisoned the men. Cultural genocide continues today. The Chinese have forbidden the Tibetans to speak their language, practice their religion, and to fly their flag. Thousands have been forced to leave their beloved Tibet, including the Dalai Lama, who untiringly continues to lead these relocated Tibetans, and continues to spread his message throughout the world - to Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike. Please don't let the culture of Tibet disappear. Show your support for the day that Tibet can once again fly this flag in their own country with this Free Tibet Flag .
