FREAKS Valentine: I'm Koo-Koo Over You! Postcard

a Valentines from a parallel universe where Todd Browning's FREAKS (1932) was popular enough to have a cheaply-made Saturday morning cartoon which was then merchandised into even more cheaply made Valentines. Koo-Koo the Bird Girl (1880 – 196?) appears in many scenes of the film, most prominently in the wedding ceremony where she dances on the dining table in a feathery costume. Koo-Koo the Bird Girl, was an American side show entertainer. She had a rare congenital growth skeletal disorder called Virchow-Seckel syndrome, which caused her to have a very short stature, a small head, and a narrow bird-like face with a beak-like nose. She was bald, toothless, and either completely blind or very short-sighted.
