Five Mile Point Lighthouse at Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven, Connecticut. Lighthouse opened in 1847. It is no longer used. It is located at the Eastern point of New Haven Harbour. Old Maps show it as Five Mile Point . It's called that because that is the distance between it and the centre of New Haven. It was also called Morris Point during the Colonial period
