This postcard contains an image of the sign "Fire" on a rusted iron or steel plate. The metal must have been painted red many years ago and almost all of it have flaked off. However the white lettering somehow remains, making this a beautiful photograph with rich colour and texture. One wonders how many firemen saw this sign over the decades as they tried putting out a burning flame. It will make an ideal gift for a fireman or firefighter, or anyone involved with the fire department. If the look of old and rusty steel is your thing, even if it is faux, this may be for you.
