Fight Between a Lion and a Tiger (by James Ward) Tile

This design features a painting by the English artist James Ward (1769–1859), who specialized in depicting animals. It shows a ferocious battle between wild and dangerous beasts. The lion is grabbing the tiger's body and biting into its flesh, while the tiger is trying to fight back. A small deer also appears to have been squashed and injured by the tiger as the two big cats fight. The animals are in a desolate and rocky environment. The original artwork was painted by James Ward in 1797.
