Fawns are typically born from late May to June. Older does usually give birth to twins, while younger does tend to have just one fawn. Fawns can often be found in open fields and forested areas. Occasionally, the doe will leave them hidden in tall grass to rest, so it is important not to approach them. The mother will return to retrieve her young ones.
