Family Coat of Arms Small Tote Bag ... The Dutch van Westervelt family coat of arms. The family inherited the rule of Harderwijk, Netherlands so their coat of arms is found upon the floor of the nave of the old church there upon a family tomb. I colorized the black and white image according to the description below the photo. The key features included the three gold fleurs de lis upon the emerald green shield ... the family had a gold signet ring of same design used to stamp wax seals on family documents. A larger gold fleur de lis is held up by knight's arms through a ducal gold coronet crown which means the duchy of Gelre / Guelders / Gelders / Gelderland. It was a Count Otto II of Gelre who gave Harderwijk city rights in 1231.
