Victorian eye - optical advertisement - Simple Eyes were great advertisements for opticians in the Victorian era -- and this one is a beautiful black ink illustration of an eye advertisement and curly Vintage writing, reminiscent of the days of old westerns and vintage eye doctors. The background is aged brown paper. The advertisement says, "California Optical Co., Scientific & Strictly Reliable, Manufacturing Opticians". … There's an antique sunburst around the eye, and the swirly letters circle the eye as well. This is the tote to go for if you want something sturdy that will last a long time and keep it's shape. Was a gift for a friend who lost a pet and she almost cried. I was worried it might come out a little tacky, but I will probably order this again and would definitely recommend it. The print also went on so well to the canvas-y material. Looks and feels professional and expensive.
