About This Design

Flag of Ethiopia. The current flag of Ethiopia was adopted on August 28, 2009. The three traditional colours of green, yellow and red date back to Emperor Menelik (r. 1889–1913) and were first used in a flag in 1897. The current flag and emblem were adopted after the defeat of the Marxist Mengistu regime (in power from 1974–1991). The emblem is intended to represent both the diversity and unity of the country. Blue represents peace, the star represents diversity and unity, and the sun's rays symbolise prosperity. The green recalls the land, yellow stands for peace and hope, and red is symbolic of strength.

I was beyond thrilled with how this custom tie turned out. I applied my husband’s business name to it all over the place and it was beautifully produced, absolutely perfect. Silky, shiny, exactly as I designed it. The lettering was not raised which was my fear. It formed a part of the tie itself so it looked like it was supposed to be there! My husband loved it and I made 9 more in different designs. Produced very quickly, well packaged and arrived early! I loved this design so much!! The printing is not raised and the tie is silky smooth. It turned out exactly as I designed it!
