The cowboy hat insures that the Paris, Texas, tower stands taller. Both replicas are dwarfed by the 540-foot-tall Eiffel Tower replica along the Strip in Las Vegas, Nevada, built in 1999. The original in Paris, France, is 984 feet tall. Paris, Texas, residents call their city the "Second Largest Paris in the World." Their city is county seat of Lamar County, Texas, in northeast Texas. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 24,171. It is situated in Northeast Texas at the western edge of the Piney Woods, and 98 miles (158 km) northeast of the Dallas to Fort Worth Metroplex.
