Eggenberg Palace Austria Postcard

Eggenberg Palace (Schloss Eggenberg) is the most important Baroque palace in Styria and a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the western part of Graz. Built in the 17th century for the Eggenberg noble family, the palace is renowned for its symbolic architecture reflecting the cosmos, with 365 windows, 24 ceremonial rooms, and 12 gates representing the calendar year. Surrounded by an elegant landscaped park, the palace complex also houses the Universalmuseum Joanneum and features richly decorated state rooms, historical art collections, and peacocks roaming the gardens. It remains one of Austria’s most significant cultural landmarks and a prime example of Baroque-era grandeur.
