educational 5" x 7" Folded Greeting Card

I used to love for my mother to read to us before bedtime. We got to have our "surprise," which was usually an orange with a hole cut in it, and then huddle around her on the couch, hanging on every word. When I came across this picture of my sweet mother-in-law, Mary, reading to her little brother, it reminded me of the love and closeness we all felt when Mom read to us. My mother instilled a love of literature and reading by her bedtime reads. I later became an English teacher. I hope I instilled this love for the written word in my students.
