EDS Lack of Awareness Kills T-Shirt

Promote a greater Awareness with the Ehlers Danlos National Awareness Symbol. It has been long over due that we that suffer with EDS need to be seen. No more out of sight out of mind we need to step up like the breast cancer awareness campaign did. The "Frayed Knot" the Official EDS Awareness symbol © 2002 was thought of back in 2002 when the EDS community determined it was long enough that we did not have an awareness symbol of our own. Several EDS groups and members of EDNF submitted several ideas we all voted for what would become the Official EDS Awareness Symbol. The Winning Symbol was the “Frayed Knot” pin, designed by my son and I. The idea behind of the Frayed Ends of the Knot represent the Fragile Tissues people with EDS have and the Knot represents our Hypermobile or Twisty Joints. This symbol was embraced by the EDS community but at one point I was contacted via email back at the end of 2005 by EDNF asking me what my intentions were with The "Frayed Knot" as The Official EDS Awareness symbol © 2002 they requested that I write up a letter of intent to use it, which by right I opted out and did not. This is not affiliated with EDNF they have their own Logo. The Frayed Knot symbol is not a symbol affiliated in anyway with EDNF and is Copyrighted to me © 2002.
