Shrimp Round Crest Travel Mug
The Ebi-no-Maru crest is a symbol of longevity, often used in New Year's decorations and celebrations, similar to pine and bamboo. It is the family crest of the Emi and Ohashi families. (Compiled by Ito Kosaku in 'Japanese Crests') / Shrimp have been used as auspicious animals in New Year's gate decorations, just like pine and bamboo. Using them as crests is based on their auspicious nature. The Ebina family used it due to its phonetic significance related to their surname. (Written by Numata Raisuke in 'Japanese Crest Studies')

This mug was exactly as described. I have purchased the stainless steel one before and the white is a nice change (stainless steel inside). I found the lavender purple a little light for my liking but that's my fault. Next time I'll choose a more grapey purple.
