Early African American Poem Learning to Read Poster
This poster has a poem by Frances Ellen Watkins Harper (1825 – 1911) titled Learning to Read. She deploys the character of Aunt Chloe, a former slave who became literate in her 60s. Harper was born in Baltimore Maryland, the only child of free African American parents. She was an activist for women's rights, educational opportunities for all and civil rights, helped slaves escape through the Underground Railroad and wrote for anti-slavery newspapers - earning her a reputation as the Mother of African American journalism.

My Bible verse postcard, turned out excellent. I love it and have it already framed. It was so reasonably priced for something done so well. Thank you to Zazzle and the artist! I thought it looked exactly like what I ordered. Perfect.

Poster is printed clearly, good quality . Inclusive of many prints .
The shipping was the problem. Box was flimsy and item got bent.. only suggestion would have been to put in a canister or mark fragile. Printing was exactly as shown

I am a fan of Ravens and needed to have a poster of my favourite bird. The image quality is sharp.
