Dwarf fireweed (Epilobium latifolium L.) is a perennial shrub. It blooms in early July on Unalaska Island. It is a member of the evening primrose family. The bright magenta coloured blossoms are very showy, forming loose columns of flowers on the stems which grow up to 18 inches tall.
