La Seu developed on the site of the former main mosque after Mallorca’s Christian conquest and has dominated Palma’s seafront for centuries. The cathedral’s evolving fabric includes Antoni Gaudí’s important interior reordering from 1904 to 1915, one of the major modern interventions in the medieval building.
