Duck Key coffee mug

The design on the coffee mug shows a duck, a key and a representation of the historic entrance columns at the gateway entrance to the island of Duck Key. It addition to appearing on early street signs constructed by the home owners' association, it also appears on island organization literature, and on license plates in the front of resident cars. Originally designed as a logo for Duck Key in 1962 the design has been incorporated into so many uses by the general Duck Key population that it has become a generic symbol for Duck Key.

I was originally happy about my purchase and Nana loved the gift. HOWEVER, the description specifically says that these are microwave and dishwasher safe, BUT the first time Nana put this mug in the dishwasher it was destroyed. Not impressed..
