dreamcatcher of inner space tile

this piece took some time to do, seeing i took the time to draw each and every wrap of the "string" (strings weren't originally used in dreamcatchers, various animal intestines and other things were used) within the dreamcatcher, and shading all the beads was definitely "fun." aside from that, the dreamcatcher is flanked on either "pole" by a pointed symbol for the Sun and a rounded symbol for the Moon, which is further emphasized by the symbols' colours. within the centre of the dreamcatcher is the Earth, which is also symbolically the "centre" where to to opposing energies of the Sun (electricity) and Moon (magnetism) seem to "merge" in respect to Life on Earth. and anyone who knows about dreamcatchers knows that the dreamcatcher is a filter for bad dreams. Earth seeming a far cry from "paradise" and definitely "nightmarish" to say the least, is in the very centre of the dreamcatcher, albeit, "on the other side." the tribal design symbolizes the apparent "chaos" within the mind of Man. up close it seems chaotic and harsh, and even to some minute detail, "different." but in the end, despite the illusions, "outside the box" and looking at the whole picture, it's "all quite colourful, mirrored, balanced, structured, and harmonious. all the different levels of "growth and maturity" that take place on this planet couldn't possibly happen without some "heat to tell you it'd be wise not to touch the flame." (or something along those archetypal lines.) i could go on and on about it's symbolism, but it's up to you, the consumer, to make it "yours."
