Doulton Lambeth Barbotine Antique Reproduction Tile

One of three versions of this Art Nouveau/late Victorian Doulton Lambeth tile, reproduced from the antique original in shades of black, grey, and sienna on ivory. Barbotine tiles generally have a low relief due to being painted with clay slip However, although this tile looks dimensional, this reproduction is actually flat, printed in a faux relief or trompe l'oeil ("fool the eye") style that captures the look of the raised detailing of the original on a smooth surfaced ceramic tile.
