A beautiful painting by a West Country artist for Happyappolis, showing the castle keep atop its steep hill on the Isle of Purbeck in the shire of Dorset, beneath an expanse of blue sky. The castle was first built in the 11th Century by William the Conqueror following the Norman conquest of England, and was added to throughout the Medieval era. It sits above the village of the same name.
