"Dinosaur Friends I" Postcard

"Dinosaur Friends I " is the title - possibly my favourite painting I've done yet! Anybody know me when I was five? Remember my "dinosaur friends?" They were allegedly "imaginary" friends of mine I had when I was a kid. An amateur paleontologist even then, I remember them more clearly and distinctly than I do most of my other friends from that age. So I thought I'd create a series of paintings inspired by them. This litle girl has dinosaur friends as well (but seems to have a much nicer house than I did!). This time she has a stegosaurus, a triceratops and a little baby dino, and they're getting cozy on the stunning Rococo couch. I love the shading in this one. Savvy fans may recognize that she apparently has a copy of my "Marie Masquerade" painting on her wall, hehe. My own original acrylic painting.
