Diamond Mills Paper Co. Millburn NJ Poster

The first mill on this site on Brookside Drive in Millburn, New Jersey was constructed before the Revolution and burned in the early 1800s. The succession of owners of the rebuilt mill included Samuel Campbell, Abraham and Jonathan Parkhurst, Israel D. Condit, and eventually the Diamond Mills Paper Company, which produced coloured tissue paper. In later years the mill was rebuilt of brick and enlarged and in 1934 the property was purchased for the theatrical organization that was later called the Paper Mill Playhouse.
