Blue on white, light as air! That is what I like about this lovely little flower ornament.
The pattern is inspired by a fifteenth century decorative initial letter (see Robert William Tymms, The art of illuminating as practised in Europe from the earliest times, 1860).

This is a very subtle design that I considered as a backsplash for my kitchen. I didn't want the print screaming, but this was too little. The print sort of got lost on the wall. I think it would work well for a small backsplash space. The design is true to color in the picture. It is minimal but very pretty.
