Delighted Gouda 1897 Jan Toorop Art Nouveau Throw Pillow. An historic lithograph by Jan Toorop showing the Queen Regent Emma and her daughter Princess Wilhelmina on a visit to Gouda. Sometimes translated as "Happy Gouda" the print features pipes and candles which represent the industry in Gouda at the time. The style was also called Salad Oil Style in reference to a poster which the artist made for the Dutch Oil Factory in Delft. The print shows the smooth contours, flowing lines and intricate details typical of Toorop's work.
