Delaware Breakwater East End Light Postcard

In 1884, a light was commissioned for the east end of the Delaware Breakwater. It built to replace the deteriorating Cape Henlopen Beacon. A temporary light on a wooden frame was placed near the building site as construction began. The foundation of the tower was embedded into the breakwater.
