Here you have Death breaking up a card game of a bunch of old maids. The Dance of Death, or Danse Macabre art/ genre stylised Deaths approach of people of all stations and walks of life, reaffirming that Death is the great leveler/equalizer. They were produced as an artistic genre of religious works from the 1400s thru the 1800s, period to remind people of the fragility of their lives and how vain are the glories/pleasures of earthly life
