The Day of the Dead is a holiday traditionally celebrated on November 1 and 2. Depending on location, it may also be celebrated on other days, such as October 31 or November 6. It is typically observed in Mexico, where it originated, and elsewhere by people of Mexican heritage. It is marked by prayer and remembrance of friends and family members who have passed, creation of home altars to remember the dead, and preparing traditional dishes for the Day of the Dead. I made this image to honour, remember, and celebrate the lives of those we've lost and to keep in mind that they may be gone, but not forgotten.
