"Darwish" mug

This design is for the Palestinian poet and author Mahmoud Darwish, who was regarded as the Palestinian national poet. In his work, Darwish used to describe Palestine, to talk about Palestinians, and to describe their pain, and their life. The text in English is taken from his poem "Passport." My favourite part of the poem is: "Don't ask the trees for their names, Don't ask the valleys who their mother is, From my forehead bursts the sword of light." For me it means that all human beings are equal. And the text in Arabic is taken from his poem "About a Human". By Areej Saeb Mawasi, Palestinian

I was originally happy about my purchase and Nana loved the gift. HOWEVER, the description specifically says that these are microwave and dishwasher safe, BUT the first time Nana put this mug in the dishwasher it was destroyed. Not impressed..
