    Dard Hunter Inspired Rose Bone China Mug

    William Joseph 'Dard' Hunter became dissatisfied with his family's newspaper business as a young man and began travelling with his illusionist brother. In 1903 he applied to work for Elbert Hubbert as a designer for Roycroft but was rejected. Later that year he just reported for work uninvited. He became an important part of the Roycroft enterprise, designing many print and leaded glass layouts and well as lighting fixtures. The design on this cup is Hunter's stylized rose pattern, vector traced for high quality reproduction and vivid colours.

It was easy to design with the step-by-step method provided; during the design I could follow what it would look like, change the font and font size and, as a special feature I had the choice of background color.
