    Dard Hunter Green Bone China Mug

    William Joseph 'Dard' Hunter became dissatisfied with his family's newspaper business as a young man and began travelling with his illusionist brother. In 1903 he applied to work for Elbert Hubbert as a designer for Roycroft but was rejected. Later that year he just reported for work uninvited. He became an important part of the Roycroft enterprise, designing many print and leaded glass layouts and well as lighting fixtures. The design on this cup is a Hunter style stencil pattern in deep green and rose, vector traced for high quality reproduction and vivid colours.
