Postcard made from 'A sea-spell' by English Pre-Raphaelite painter Dante Gabriel Rossetti. The painting (and a corresponding sonnet) shows a siren whose music has summoned a sea bird and who also may be able to effect the hearts of men. The poem begins ''Her lute hangs shadowed in the apple-tree, While flashing fingers weave the sweet-strung spell...''
