Kids these days, with their lanthanides and their actinides. No respect for the classics. Back in the day, you didn't need rare earths or transuranics. You did chemistry using sundries from the five and dime and were dang glad to have it. 'Course there was the odd mis-step back then, the occasional scientific detour. A few things got on ole Dalton's table that shouldn't have (turns out "yoghurt" was not really an element. Who knew?). But, eventually, the great ship of science corrected itself, for that is what great ships do. Old timey periodic table (c. 1800) with old timey nomenclatures.
