A little angel with a dirty face! This cute Romney breed lamb, enjoying a spring frolic in the meadow or green field, takes a brief pause for the photo. Romneys are hardy, adaptable sheep that produce a thick, heavy fleece. This lamb is white although some Romney variations can be mottled brown or black in colour and pattern. These animals originated in England, first recorded in the 1800's, and are popular as livestock in several countries and regions including Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Brazil and California. This adorable baby lamb has mud on the forehead and under the eye, and a notched ear, giving a "scrappy" appearance!
