Dinosaurs lived a very long time ago, millions of years before people. They were special reptiles that came in many shapes and sizes. Some dinosaurs were very big, like Brachiosaurus, and others were small. There were plant-eating dinosaurs and meat-eating dinosaurs. The meat-eaters had sharp teeth, like Tyrannosaurus rex. The plant-eaters had long necks to reach tall trees. Dinosaurs walked on two legs or four legs, depending on the kind. Scientists study their bones, called fossils, to learn about them. One day, the dinosaurs all disappeared from Earth. Today, we can see their relatives, like birds, still living around us
