Cute Baby Orangutan Orphan Postcard

This orangutan postcard features an a baby orangutan shortly after she was rescued, fed, and bathed by caretakers at the Orangutan Foundation Care Centre on the island of Borneo (Kalimantan, Indonesia). Orangutans are an endangered species, found in the wild only in the rainforest of two islands - Borneo and (to a lesser extent) Sumatra. At any time, there are between 300 to 400 orphans being raised at this facility. Rebecca Reeder is a volunteer here and donates 100% of her profits to support saving these gentle great apes from extinction. Although orangutans are often called monkeys, they are a separate species -great apes. Among the apes, orangutans are known for their gentle disposition. They are intelligent animals with finger prints and 3 of the same blood types as humans.
