Crane and Orchid Mug

A whooping crane extends its neck upward to reach an oversized orchid in the Asian-inspired design on this mug. The crane is marked with black on its neck and wings and with red on its face and head. The phalaenopsis orchid is pale orange with deep green leaves at the base of its arcing stem. The deep beige background and distressed appearance give the image the look of an antique painting on paper that has faded over the course of time. From my original digitally created image.

I was originally happy about my purchase and Nana loved the gift. HOWEVER, the description specifically says that these are microwave and dishwasher safe, BUT the first time Nana put this mug in the dishwasher it was destroyed. Not impressed..
