Hoefnagel's Medieval illumination of a manuscript - a crab, botanicals, butterfly, and flower watercolor sketch painting - Our crab and botanical still life sketch drawing is based on a crab illustration from the medieval manuscript, "Mira calligraphiae monumenta" or "Model book of Calligraphy", this vintage crab and botanicals image shows a beautifully drawn crab, and a butterfly sitting on top of the crab. The two are sitting around a sketchpad full of flowers, a butterfly, insects, and a pear. The botanical sketchbook drawing is beautifully rendered in pen and ink and watercolor. The beautiful crab and botanicals illustration was created by medieval nature illustrator Joris Hoefnagel (Flemish and Hungarian, Austria) in the late 1500s.

The overall quality of this product was amazing. The size of the card was unique and was customized to our liking. The material of the invitation was sturdy, and felt like high quality paper. I was very impressed with this product. We customized our own QR code for the RSVP section on the back, which actually links to our wedding website. The colour and florals of this invitation turned out amazing. It was 100% to our liking, and we added a few of our own touches. The font size was eligible as well. No concerns with this product. Would order again!
